The Process
File I-131 Application
Submit application for travel document (often filed together with I-485 and I-765).
Biometrics
Attend appointment if required (may reuse I-485 biometrics).
USCIS Approval
USCIS approves advance parole document.
Receive Document
Get advance parole document or combo card (combined EAD/AP) by mail.
Travel Abroad
Use advance parole to depart and reenter U.S. during temporary travel.
Return Inspection
Present advance parole to CBP officer upon return for inspection and parole.

Copy of passport biographical page
Explanation of reason for travel

Copy of prior advance parole (if renewal)
